SMAS Baseball Wins District 14 Title

  • SMAS Claims Lead In Fifth Inning To Defeat Greencastle
  • SMAS nabbed the lead late in the game in a 7-1 victory over Greencastle on Friday. The game was tied at one with SMAS batting in the bottom of the fifth when Phoenix H singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
  • SMASH secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught by SMAS was led by Phoenix, Cody S, Timmy G, and Josh S, who each had RBIs in the inning.
  • In the bottom of the fourth inning, SMAS tied things up at one. An error scored one run for SMASH.
  • Phoenix led things off on the mound for SMAS. They surrendered one run on seven hits over six innings, striking out seven and walking zero.
  • Conner W was on the pitcher's mound for Greencastle. They allowed six hits and seven runs over five innings, striking out one.
  • Phoenix led SMAS with two hits in three at bats.
  • Greencastle saw the ball well today, racking up seven hits in the game. Bryce D and Noah Seach racked up multiple hits for Greencastle.
