Next Phase Approaching!

From Coach Rus...

Hello All,

I have several notes for the next phase of the season:

1) I am very proud of the girls and their effort and attendance at the Round Robins this season. Our best season yet.

2) I have a large group of players who continue to update me on their fitness, and we have a group who have taken advantage of camps and a super showing again for the UNC camp!

I am on vacation this upcoming week. One more week for the girls to continue working on their own whether it be ball work or fitness work. The first full week of August I would like to see the girls for three practices in the evenings, then the next week we will start team camp. The reason for the practices before team camp is to make sure we have all options for girls to be available to get started as some will be struggling with cross country and volleyball. Next week can still be at a slower pace but fitness must be a high priority! You are probably getting tired of hearing me say run, run and run more!

On a closing note, I am proud of several of our Black team players who answered me tonight on how the US Women team scored against France! They were able to name all four goals. Very impressive. Kat and Meg great job on providing answers!!!!! Gabby Lewis sent me her assessment of the game! Brilliant job to her! I will miss the game quite possibly this Saturday, so the assignment for those girls up to it, is to send me by e-mail their assessments of the game. I will have it though on Tivo waiting! I mentioned it twice to them tonight to watch and watch more pieces of these Olympic games and most certainly a whole game if they are up to it!

As like last season I will update all at different phases of the season. We will get the next udates during team camp and then tournament time..
